HealthGrades, one of the nation's leading ratings organization recently announced that JFK Memorial Hospital was awarded their Joint Replacement Surgery Specialty Excellence award, for the third year in a row. That means that JFK Memorial Hospital was ranked among the Top 10% in the Nation for Joint Replacement Surgery.   JFK Memorial Hospital received these awards because we had lower complication rates and in hospital mortality for these procedures compared to 90% of hospitals nationally.  The HealthGrades rating process is not voluntary- we had no choice in whether or not we were rated.  The HealthGrades awards serves as third party validation of the quality of care we are providing at JFK Memorial Hospital.   Jfk was also awarded 5 Star for Hip Fracture Repair and Total Knee Replacement for 2008.
